Girl Flesh by Blair Quynh

She grabs my hand, pulling me into an unfamiliar bedroom. The party noises fade away as she shoves me onto the bed. She reaches out, grabbing my breasts, and presses her lips to my ear.

‘Feels real to me.’

I can taste sweat and alcohol as she forces her lips on mine. Our flesh colliding, I wonder: Where does her femininity end and mine begin? Then she snaps away and I find out.

‘I was wrong. It’s not like kissing a real girl at all.’

She gets up and leaves; the room becoming a closet.

Blair Quynh is a trans woman based in Adelaide studying creative writing at Flinders University. She loves literary horror, weird fiction and sapphic poetry.
